Fall Update

Summer is over and we are loving fall!

Maddie sweetly reading to her siblings

Making carmelitas

Kinley was Star of the Day!

Our library!

Tanner's paper that made me laugh

The yummiest buttery bundt bread from Mel's Kitchen Cafe

We have been riding bikes a lot since we have moved here.
There are nice trails everywhere and they are fun to try out.

I took Kinley on a date!
She wanted McDonald's but I had to get Panera. I'm so so so happy they have one close by!

Kinley snuggling with me while Trevor was on travel.
Now that the kids are older, I don't mind them sleeping with me. When they were younger I would never let them!

Tanner got a letter and present from Grandma!

Charging up the battery on the van.
The battery died while Trevor was on travel (of course) and stressed me out but it all turned out ok in the end.

Tanner at the library. He loves reading the Little Critter books

Daddy handing out presents when he got home from travel

Maddie and Kinley got Barbies from Grandma and Tanner got a Pokémon book!

Trevor brought me home Sees Candy too. It was gone the first day.

We tried out the Indian Head Rail Trail, which is pretty close to our church building. It is awesome! 13 miles of paved trail through wooded forest. We are looking forward to going again.

They always complain about going on walks but they end up loving it

Kinley is doing great on her bike!
She said she is ready to take her training wheels off.

Along the way there are some bridges and ponds to throw rocks into

Trevor's bike set up in the garage

Trevor did a few house projects over conference weekend.
This kind of awkward thing was on the end of our porch.

And this is what it looks like now! Much better

Obviously there was something here before, but we weren't sure what

Now we have an address sign to cover it up!

We have sooooooooooo many leaves in both our front and back yards

The kids helped rake some of them up

And they really wanted to ride their bikes through them.
Tanner's bike is buried underneath this pile.

At Michael's playing with the Halloween stuff

I took Maddie on a date for the General Women's conference.
This is the first year we got to go together!

We went to Sonic for dinner and ice cream and then to the church for the conference.
It was super fun! Excited for all the new changes.

Making cinnamon rolls for conference.

Also from Mel's Kitchen Café, and also delicious.

And huge

We got out the Halloween costumes and tried a few on

Trevor carved a path through the leaves in our backyard for the kids to ride their bikes on

Tanner got an early birthday present!

And that is what we have been up to lately.
Excited for the holidays and the fall season!

Getting Settled in Maryland

We are getting settled here in Maryland. We have been going on lots of walks and the kids started school and are doing great!

This chicken mailbox reminds us of Grandma.
The weather here has been amazing so far

Kinley got new pjs from Grami!

Playing at Target.
It is so so nice to have a Target close by! I have been there many times already to make up for not being close to one the last 7 years.

Our new living room set!

We went to Purse State Park to look for shark teeth

There is a very short trail before you get to the beach

At the beach!

Found a baby crab, which Kinley did not like

Found lots of fun shells

And plenty of shark teeth!

First day of school!

They love their teachers and are doing very good at school so far

Accomplished our first house project!
We decided we didn't like the color of this banister and painted it. This is the before picture.

In the middle of the project

The after picture! We love the two toned look

Kinley started preschool!
I wasn't going to put her in preschool this year but they have a free, 2.5 hour preschool at the same school that Maddie and Tanner go to and so I signed her up. She is doing great so far and liking it.

I took her out to McDonald's to celebrate her first day

We went to a local minor league baseball game to see the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs play. The stadium is not that far from our house.

It was really fun!

Tanner running across our backyard. It's hard to see all of it because there is a bunch of forested area in the back and more to the side, but it gives you a general idea.
