Swimming Lessons and Bishop Trip

Summer has been going great so far!

Here is a "before" picture from a few years ago

And this is what our patio/outside area looks like now.
We love it! Trevor has done a great job making it really nice.

We bought some new patio furniture that is super comfortable and great for hanging out outside.

Maddie practicing her talk in front of her animal friends.

Tanner had the scripture and Maddie had the talk on the same Sunday

Swim lessons has been awesome this year!
Kinley didn't have swim lessons but she loves to swim in the baby pool and wear her goggles.

Baby pool

The park that is right by the pool that we played at sometimes if we didn't have to rush home

The kids building a fort in Tanner's room.
They did this for about 4 hours straight one day.

Making cupcakes!
I am trying to do cooking/baking with them at least once a week to help teach them more about food and to share my love of baking with them.

I had to be in Bishop for their ward conference so we made it a family trip.
First stop, Schat's Bakery for lunch and treats and feeding the ducks at the City Park.

Kinley really loved this

We attracted lots of ducks!
Some of them were fighting over the bread.

Playing around Lake Sabrina

Last time we came up here it was raining and the water was really high at this point so we didn't cross because it seemed too dangerous. This time the water was much lower and moving pretty slow, so we all crossed over.

This is the actual Lake Sabrina.
We drove up just to look at it before heading back to our hotel.

This is the first time they have had the hot tub open in the last 4 years we have been coming up here. It was nice and warm, not hot at all. Kinley, Tanner and I hung out in here while Trevor and Maddie swam in the big (freezing) pool.

More swim lessons!
Tanner did so much better this time.

Maddie learning how to dive

I made a giant cookie for my friend's birthday

Kinley was the hero!
She was so so excited to be the hero, ate one bite of her donut, and then said she was done.

Finished the Summer Reading Program at the Library!
They each got to pick out a book for their prize and then got some coupons and stuff.

Last day of swim lessons!
All the kids got to go down the slide.

Tanner only wanted to go once, but he did it!

Maddie has had a loose tooth for the past few days, but she didn't want us to pull it out. She woke up this morning saying that her tooth hurt really bad. She finally let me pull it out right before her swim lesson since it was dangling by a thread!

Maddie's turn on the slide

She went down by herself about 3 times. Swim lessons was great, but now it is over and I am looking forward to the rest of our summer!

End of School and Patio

We have been super busy!
Mostly with fun stuff, and all of the end of school stuff. Maddie is finished with 1st grade!

Trevor took Tanner out to learn how to ride the dirt bike

He did great!

Homemade bagels!
The cinnamon crunch bagels at Panera are my favorite and these taste just as good

Maddie got a gift card from her piano teacher for a free Baskin Robbins ice cream so we all celebrated with her.

Trevor decided to partially enclose our patio!

Trevor set up this obstacle course for the kids

They each won a prize

Even Kinley won!

Then they had a water balloon fight

Then they got Happy Meals
