Life is but a Dream

So this is just an update with a few pictures of our everyday life. Things have been pretty busy with the holidays coming up but we have had a lot of fun too.

Maddie with her makeup on. Her favorite thing is to put on makeup just like mommy.

Just call me Carlton!

I LOVE this outfit and as soon as it got cold here I put it on Tanner. He looked so cute at church!

Playing in the dirt

Tanner loves to play outside and books it for the door every time we open it. A little dirt rounds out his well-balanced diet.

Maddie loves to play in the kitchen while I cook

Eating pumpkin bread for breakfast

Not in my house!

Haha, so sometimes when I cook for Sherry the recipes she uses call for wine, that's why we had it in the first place. When I went to open the bottle it had a cork in it and I didn't have a corkscrew or anything to open the bottle with. As I was trying to pull out the cork with a knife I accidentally pushed it into the bottle. Sherry told me to just throw the rest of the wine out in case the cork made the wine taste bad.

I realized just now that none of these pictures have Trevor in them probably because he took most of them. His big project lately has been building a shed for our backyard. I'll post pictures of the shed later on.

June Lake Vacation

We just got back from a 2 day vacation in . . . .

June Lake!

It was beautiful up there and the weather was perfect. A little cold but for the most part sunny. We went with Trevor's parents and Kalie and had tons of fun!

We got to stay at Boulder Lodge and the first morning we woke up to a little snow on the ground. We went out to play in the snow and afterwards went on a little hike around the lake.

Taking Tanner to the woodshed

We walked out to the dock and then past that there was a spot with about a million ducks so we got out the crackers and cheezits and let the kids feed them. Tanner ate a lot of the cheezits too.

When the cheezits ran out he started eating the rocks and dirt.

Maddie LOVED feeding the ducks and showed Tanner how to do it.

Trevor really wanted to catch a duck because they were everywhere around us and so close! But those things are so fast- they kept flying away until . . .

he caught one! I couldn't believe it when he came walking up holding the duck by his neck. I guess all those years of catching bunnies made him pretty fast.

Petting the duck before letting it go back in the lake

Tanner was such a good sport the whole trip. He just goes with the flow and looked at everything and loved every minute of it!

After feeding the ducks we made it to the marina and rented a boat that was big enough to fit all of us.

We boated around the lake for about an hour before heading into town for some delicious Mexican food and Schat's bakery for dessert of course. We went to Schat's every day of our trip.
Hey it's vacation!

Trevor and Maddie on the boat. Maddie said the boat ride was her favorite part of the trip.

Tanner was a little squished in the life jacket but the boat still rocked him to sleep.

At Roberto's, a delicious Mexican restaurant in Mammoth. Their salsa was really good and pretty spicy. Maddie kept saying her mouth was "all fired up" because she ate tons of it.

After going out to eat and doing a little shopping around Mammoth we went on a little tour of Mammoth lakes.

The scenery was so beautiful

Tanner isn't in these pictures because he was conked out in the car

We had tons of fun in Mammoth and got to visit the Mammoth Lakes branch on Sunday before we left.

I had to stay right by Tanner during all the pictures in case he tipped backwards on the hay bale

The Boulder Lodge was awesome and it was so nice to get away for a few days.

And that was our trip to June Lake!
