Weekend in Bishop

This past weekend I had to be in Bishop ward for their ward conference so everyone came with me! We drove down the day before and had tons of fun.

My mouth full of my sandwich from Schat's bakery, our first stop when we arrived in Bishop

Kinley loved it!

Across the street from Schat's is the best city park we've ever seen.
The kids loved feeding the ducks.

Kinley getting into the Coca-Cola gummies which turned out to be her favorite thing

Yum

We figured the kids wouldn't want sandwiches so we got them a Carl's Jr. "happy meal" type thing instead

Kinley begging for more treats

Maddie went back and forth along the river and the ducks would follow her

So it turns out there is much more to this park than we knew about! We had only ever been to the part with the ducks and the playground but they have a skate park, tennis and volleyball courts, a pond, another playground area, it just went on and on! We are glad we decided to explore this time.

By the gazebo, looking at the fish. There are a ton of fish in that pond. All we had was Peanut Butter Captain Crunch cereal so we fed that to them. They loved it! The fish ate the small pieces and the ducks ate the larger ones.

Maddie made it almost to the end of the monkey bars. I was impressed, it was pretty high.

Our hotel room was huge!
And it had this whole separate bar area so Trevor started mixing drinks.

At Lake Sabrina. Such pretty fall colors!

Exploring the lake

The water was SO FREEZING. I could only last about 1 minute before I had to head back.

At the waterfall. Kinley was pretty scared because it was really loud.

Trevor freaking me out

Throwing a huge rock into the lake

Bishop ward potluck!

We tried to keep Kinley awake until we left but she was pretty worn out.

Getting amazing gas mileage on the way back since it was mostly downhill. Trevor was pretty excited about this. We had so much fun and I'm really glad that the whole family came with me.
