Trip to Palmdale and Fire Pit

Trevor went on travel this week and we drove down to LA and stayed with him in the hotel the night before he left.

Usually when we go out somewhere like this, Kinley is fussy or the kids are crazy but this time was actually very pleasant

We went to the beach too

Tanner didn't really want to go close to the water

But Maddie loved it and found a bunch of seashells

We parked right by this park so the kids played there for a while before we headed back to the hotel

Trevor saw us off and we drove to Palmdale for a little breakfast and shopping.

We had breakfast at Panera which was amazing, as usual

Then we headed to Kohl's for a few kitchen things

And to check out their toys. The kids always pick out things and have me take pictures of what they want so I can send them to Santa

I had a Coldstone gift card that I had forgotten all about so we went ahead and spent that before heading home. All in all, a great trip! I'm glad we decided to go with Trevor, it was tons of fun and the kids were very good the entire time.

We are so happy with how the fire pit turned out and love the way our backyard looks now

It works great! We roasted a few marshmallows and Starburst to try it out

We still need to get a few chairs and lights and things to finish off the pergola area but so far so good
