Quarantine Update

We have been self quarantining this past week and so far so good!
None of us are sick and the kids are loving not going to school.
Also I haven't done any homeschool with them AT ALL #nojudging

This was on Crazy Hair day. They both used hair chalk

Dress like your favorite character from a book day.
Tanner chose the whale from the "Who Would Win?" books

Maddie and Kinley both picked Fancy Nancy

And they both looked super cute!

The gifts I took to a favorite things party my friend was hosting

What the kids did when we got invited to our friend's house for dinner

Might solve a mystery-or rewrite history!
Tanner's 120th day of school project. Trevor's idea, but we all helped!

Screenshot of me reading to Kinley's class for reading day. I read to all 3 of the kid's classes but Kinley's teacher is the only one who took a picture.

Tanner's schoolwork

I took Maddie and Tanner to a Future Chefs class put on by the county parks and recreation department

They loved it!

They made vegetable skewers

Fruit loop donut rainbows

Cookie/oreo/marshmallow sheep

and a few other things. It was super fun!

Maddie's new pjs from Grami

Stocking up on essentials!

I didn't forget the kids

Walking on the Indian Head Rail Trail

Since the kids are home, I am having them help me with the cooking/baking.
Tanner helped me make granola and said he can totally do it on his own from now on.

I have had Maddie and Tanner each read 5 books to Kinley every day

Tanner learning how to start a fire with just a stick and log-unsuccessful so far

What the basement looks like.
The kids won't clean it up because they are apparently still playing with it. They do go down there at least once a day and play with the Legos, so that is something.

Planting flowers with Daddy

It is getting so warm and feels like spring here!

Reading Harry Potter.
We just finished the first book and have started watching the first movie! It is super fun.

The kids made a leprechaun trap

And made sugar cookies for St. Patrick's Day

Frosting them

The leprechaun did come, but they didn't catch him

Tanner built a Lego Gringotts bank

Making Lemonade

Tanner explaining how the bank works

Although it stinks not being able to go anywhere and the kids can't be in school, we are enjoying sleeping in and relaxing more. The kids are definitely getting their fill of play time and Trevor is enjoying his "commute" from our bed to his desk.
