Happy Fall Y'all

 

We have been so busy with moving and school starting!

I can't believe it is already fall

Celebrated 14 years of marriage!

We moved in to our new home!

We love our new house and our nice, peaceful neighborhood

First order of business was to buy a riding lawn mower

All the walls were different colors when we moved in so we have painted all the walls in the entire house. We painted the fireplace too. This is the before picture.

This is what the dining room looked like when we moved in.

The previous owner was an art teacher and she hand painted the border of hummingbirds, plants and flowers. We appreciate the art but have a different style.

How it turned out

I painted the bottom part on the day that there was a tornado warning and all the kids had to shelter in place at the school. Luckily they were ok and not too scared.

For Kinley's birthday she wanted a scavenger hunt

And she requested the masterpiece this time instead of cake

I cried sending them back but they did great and love going every day again

Maddie had a field trip to the Nanjemoy Environmental Center and she had a great time

Our neighbors have 2 bounce houses so we tried them out

The kids are loving reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. 

I can hear them laughing out loud all the time when they read it.

We went to Rita's one last time before they closed for the season

Only 5 months until we can come back

Got my laundry room set up

Our friends told us that we have the best mail lady and the kids have been leaving her pictures every day. She left them $6 and some candy and a sweet note welcoming us to the neighborhood.

We set up a cabinet painting station in the basement.

It is nice that it is unfinished for projects like this.

I love how it turned out and finally have it all put back together

This cutie lost her two front teeth last night!

We were eating donuts and one of them fell out. Then Trevor pulled out the other one, which was super loose.

And that is what we have been up to these last few months. Still getting settled in to our new house but so far, so good.
