Santa Barbara Trip

We just got back from a super fun trip to Santa Barbara! We took the kids out of school and spent some fun family time together.

Tanner wanted to make lemonade, so I had him squeeze all the lemons

We bought another dirt bike. A 70 this time for Maddie to ride.

She did awesome!

Everyone came out to ride with us and it was really fun

Maddie danced at the local children's fair

She did Little Mermaid and Toy Story songs and did great!

Our trip to Santa Barbara, day one I took the kids to Solvang.
Here we are at the Little Mermaid fountain.

Here we are at a different but much shallower fountain, making grabbing the coins out much easier. The kids were so excited about getting the money I let them go back a second time.

Found some chickens for Grandma!

A lady in Solvang told me about a fun playground close by, so I took the kids there after we were done walking around and eating pastries.

It was super fun!

In the Viking ship

Lunch at In-N-Out

The kids did the cover to cover reading club and earned 3 coupons each for free cheeseburgers! We used them all up on this trip.

The delicious pastries I brought back to the hotel from Solvang

We went on a walk to look at the ocean and on the way found some orange trees and picked some fresh ones. They were suuuuper juicy, much more than the ones you buy at the store!

Looking out over the ocean.
You can't tell from the picture but we were up on a cliff.

Day two I took the kids to the Santa Barbara Zoo

They loved it!

This little playground was one of their favorite things

We saw all the exhibits and had a great time

Afterwards I took them to McDonald's for lunch

Day 3 I took the kids to this fun park called Kids World in the morning

Why can't all parks be this fun?

They had a little stage area where the girls performed

And they had plenty of huge trees

After the park we found a Nothing Bundt Cakes and bought a couple

They lived up to the hype! So delicious and moist and the frosting was very yummy.

In the afternoon we went to Goleta State Beach Park to play

There weren't too many people there and the weather was perfect

Building sandcastles in the sand

I wasn't in a single picture so I took a few selfies to prove I was there

Kinley was very concerned about sharks and whales at the beach, and very leery of the water but went with Trevor. She kept saying she hoped Maddie and Tanner wouldn't get eaten, since they were playing in the water a lot.

A seagull came walking towards us!

Drove into Palmdale on fumes!
You can see it says our range was only 4 more miles

Maddie's Little Mermaid dance

Kinley's performance at the park

And that was our amazing trip!
It was so fun to spend lots of time together as a family and do so many fun things.
