Trevor was in Norway for a whole week! But, we kept pretty busy. It was the first week of school and I made sure we had lots to keep us occupied.
The first was playing at the indoor playground they have at the rec center.
It's way too hot to go to the park this time of year, so this was a great option! The kids loved it and didn't want to leave.
At their friend Cece's birthday party.
They did all these water balloon games and it was really fun!
We played at the gymnastics center Saturday morning.
Then we headed to Joanns so the kids could pick out a craft to work on. When we walked in they had a make-your-own caterpillar table set up, so the kids got to do that.
Went to the library to make sure I didn't run out of things to read! I finished 4 books while Trevor was gone.
Doing their painting crafts
Maddie picked a ceramic tea set
And Tanner picked a wooden pirate ship!
They did a great job and it was a fun little thing to do
Then we got pizza for dinner
Trevor was gone for our 10 year anniversary, so I made this Reeses peanut butter cheesecake to make me feel better.
I decided to try making homemade bread for sandwiches! It turned out super yummy.
This is the BLT I made with it
We went to meet Maddie's teacher the day before school started. Her teacher seems really nice and she has a few friends in her class from last year.
Maddie with her teacher, Mrs. Adkisson
Afterwards we went to family night at Grandma's house, where everyone was the hero!
Watching a video of the rooster trying to crow
Grandpa gave the lesson
First day of school!
Eating her balanced breakfast.
I thought I woud have to drop her off at the gate but I got to walk in with her the first day.
Lining up to head in to her classroom!
Once she sat down at her desk she cried a little but then she said the rest of her day was great.
At dance class! They are doing a tap dance to "Singing in the Rain."
I had a little brunch with some of the other wives whose husbands were in Norway
Kinley's birthday! We celebrated on Saturday since Aunt Kalie and Grandma and Grandpa were still in town.
Made these cakes for Kinley! Maddie helped me decorate Elsa.
Setting up the Paw Patrol water table from Grami
Opening presents
She needed a little help from Tanner
Singing Happy Birthday
Her party was super fun and she loved all her presents!
I can't believe she's already 2!

I know a Reeses Peanut Butter Cheesecake would make me feel better!!! Everything looked so fun! Thanks for the update!
