Trip to Norway

We made it back from our trip to Norway. Thanks so much to Grandma for watching Maddie, Tanner, and Kinley while we were gone!

On our flight to Oslo.

At the Oslo opera house.

Natalie at the Gjovik lake.

We ate our favorite Norwegian chocolate on the lake shore.

We ran out of toothpaste and got this - the worlds smallest tube!

Natalie at the famous Gjovik chocolate factory.

Walking through Norwegian countryside.

Out to dinner.

We took a tour of the Gjovik glass shop. They hand-blow glass artwork and vases. The owner set up a dinner for us at her shop so we could try local cuisine. We tried Reindeer, moose, salmon, and an assortment of Norwegian brown cheeses.

Our morning exercising in Gjovik.

View from our Hotel in Oslo.

The Viking museum in Oslo. Viking kings were buried with everything they needed to get to Valhalla. These burials included entire ships, carts, sleds, horses, dogs, tools, food, clothing, jewelry, and so on. The stuff at the museum was recovered from three different burial sites in Norway and are all original Viking pieces. Really cool.

All their stuff was ornately carved by hand. This is the bow of a 70 foot Viking ship.

Royal palace in Oslo. It was pouring rain on us!

We took refuge in the Freia chocolate shop in Oslo.

Out to eat at a pizzeria in Oslo.

Walking through parks at the Royal Palace.

Going through customs in New York. Natalie declared her 47 bucks worth of imported chocolate!

It was a super fun time for us. More than anything, we really enjoyed spending time together!
